Brings an object to his mouth
This is the child's ability to use small muscles, specifically their hands and fingers, to pick up small objects, hold a spoon, turn pages in a book, or use a crayon to draw.
TIP: As your child will want to explore all kinds of objects with his mouth, it is important to provide objects that are engaging and safe. Teething toys and soft books provide firm and soft surfaces for your child to chew.
If, at 4 months, your child does not bring objects to his mouth, you should talk with your pediatrician.
