A responsibility chart is a visual and physical way for children to understand their responsibilities. Allowing your child to move the magnets when tasks are completed further establishes his sense of responsibility.
Really Works
My daughter has always been the type of child that loves schedules and wants to know what's coming next. I usually try to prepare in long in advance for changes and illicit her feelings and comments. The responsibility chart works well for both of us -- it keeps me from becoming wishy/washy and lax at reinforcing expectations and gives her positive reinforcement, measurable progress and of course -- pats on the back when we can remove an old responsibility and say "oh, we don't need that one anymore!" She really loves it.

Great way to reinforce expectations
We love this responsibility chart. It is a simple way to let your child know what is expected, and (if you're consistent) to celebrate every day how they meet those expectations. The only challenge is being consistent in using it!
