When Mother reads aloud, I longNow as a father of two, I still have vivid memories of my mother reading aloud from the Chronicles of Narnia, the Little House on the Prairie books, and In Grandma's Attic. This is the sustained work of mothers over many years, and not just on one celebrated day of the year.
